The world’s biggest automakers are standing up in court to defend America’s historic new fuel economy and greenhouse gas emissions standards. Yesterday, the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers filed a motion to intervene in support of the new clean car standards. Just three days earlier, the Association of Global Automakers also filed a motion to intervene in support of the standards. Members of the two automaker groups include Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo.
